McKay returned one hour 50 minutes (1:50) in winning the senior category while Williams registered 1:48 to win the junior version.
Gary Benjamin who won the veteran category last year, had to settle for third this year as Niles won the category ahead of Ian `Dumb Boy’ Jackson and Benjamin respectively.
Last year’s winners of the three categories were John Charles, Neil Reece and Benjamin respectively.
Alex Mendes placed second to McKay yesterday while Alonzo Greaves finished third.
In the junior category, Christopher Holder was second and Reece third.
From the start of the junior category, the five competing juniors played a `cat and Mouse’ game with each other until Jason Pollydore suffered a fall around the Ogle area.
Williams subsequently broke from the pack (Chateau Margot) and opened a small lead which he maintained until he reached Buxton before Holder started to close in on him with Reece not far off the pace.
Holder then joined him (Williams at Ann’s Grove and worked in tandem with the eventual winner.
Williams then attacked once again and picked up McKay, Leer Nunes and Greaves, who along with the other seniors were given a two-minute head start over the juniors.
Together the bunch went into the Mahaica old road and while the juniors turned for home through the new road, the seniors had to travel a bit further before turning back.
